You could email Apple and ask, but I'm guessing it's not possible.
It'll help with her French lessons anyway!

Well seen as your on the subject of itunes....

I've set up an itunes account for mum but as she has a French bank account this is a French itunes account. I've made the tabs all in english but the actual itunes store all seems to be in French still. Do you know if there is a way of having a French account with an English itunes store?

DRM = Digital Rights Management; software designed to stop you sharing media more than a certain number of times. Designed to stop piracy but doesn't really work.

Yeah I know about that but it doesn't bother me as much as true DRM, it's not stopping me moving my music from computer to computer as many times as I wish or playing it in non-DRM media players, and if I really want to I can always strip out that text.

Hate to break this to you, but any song that you download from iTunes is not, in fact, DRM-free.
Well, it is, but it isn't.
Folks found out, a couple weeks ago, that your name and email address are appended in the m4a file. Therefore, if ever you share the song, for which you paid, Apple can find out where it came from (i.e. you) and send the RIAA on your ass.
