I’ve decided to have a week full of scavenger hunts leading up to xmas, so this is the first. Identify the location of the photo below, go there, retrieve the book from the xmas tree under the wreath. Leave a comment here to tell everyone where it is.
There is one slight problem. The big black pot that the xmas tree is sitting in is more hollow than I expected it to be, and the book fell in. You may need very long arms or a small act of vandalism to retrieve the book.
So, where is this?

If you were looking for the answer to last weeks WTF photo quiz, you didn’t have to look very far. The image snippet is from here, one of the pages of our NZ honeymoon diary. It’s a picture of Ponsonby Pies, a delicious pie shop in the heart of Auckland.

Nobody managed to figure out where last weeks photo was taken. It was in fact the Pitti Grotto in the Palazza Pitti, Florence.
This weeks WTF photo quiz is a piece of a sign. What does the rest of the sign say?

This weeks WTF photo quiz is another picture from our trip to Florence. What is Jen looking at? (well ok, she’s looking at me, but I mean what was she looking at before she turned to look at me? In other words what is that place called? Which is what I should’ve said in the first place but it’s too late now and I can’t stop typing.) I might forgive you if you Google, as long as you admit it.
In other news, tonight is the fortnightly McKibbin’s Pub Quiz, starting at 8ish, hosted by Sean. $2 entry fee per team member, maximum 4 members per team. Fabulous prizes for the winners. And tomorrow night is the Hurley’s Pub Quiz, also starting at 8ish and hosted by the financial wizard Cara (but she has promised no accountancy questions!)

I took this picture about 20 minutes ago because the Oscars were really boring me. So WTF is it? I’m convinced this is really easy, but Jen disagrees. We’ll see.

Here is the full picture that last week’s WTF photo quiz was based on. It was indeed a jar of Hershey’s kisses.
I’m still amazed that people managed to find warthogs and gorillas in that chocolatey goodness.
Sadly there is no WTF photo quiz this week because I couldn’t find a suitable photo. I’ll try to get busy with the camera over the next few days to give you something next week.

So for those of you who didn’t successfully Google last week’s photo quiz, the bronze boar is in the middle of a market in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy. That photo was taken a few hours before I proposed to Jen.
This week I’m in another foreign city, slightly closer to home. You shouldn’t have to Google this one (and you probably wouldn’t be able to anyway!). Sorry I’m not in it, I was behind the camera.

The weekly photo quiz continues. Last week’s piece of graffiti was a tough one. That particular work of art is on a building along the Lachine Canal bike path, between Atwater and De Seigneurs. This week we’re going further afield. Where was this photo taken? That’s me feeding the boar, looking all scrunched up because it was raining. Once again extra bonus brownie points awarded if you manage to produce a photo of the same location.

If you’ve had trouble getting here the past few days, it was due to a botched domain renewal. All now sorted.
