Lambic Beers
Lambic beer is a style of beer brewed in Belgium.
It is thought to be the world’s oldest surviving and most traditional beer style.
It was originally (and still is in some places) brewed by monks and other religious orders.
I was drinking a bottle of cherry lambic when I signed up to MSN, and so lambic the person was born!
Now that I live in Canada, Lambic is not so easy to find, but Will and Sue gave me a crate of cherry lambic as a wedding present when I got married last year, and I made it last as long as possible.

not sure how I came upon your site, but I’m a brewer & beer fan, & with your site’s name being Lambic, that’s prob how.
I’d never heard about Lambic beers being originally (& still) being brewed by monks & other religious folks - do you have any more info?
BTW - I enjoyed the Canadian poem on the homepage.

Hi Mark,
I’ve been reading your blog after stumbling across it a week or so ago and I was wondering where you’d got the name lambic from!
I love beer and have never tried this type of brew - after reading Mike McG’s comment who’s business is a stones throw from where I started mine - I thought it would be in bad taste not to leave my own comment
Off now to find some lambic beer to taste…. and I’ll be back to read your posts regularly.
