Guilty as charged?
Everyone has a guilty pleasure, don’t they? For some people it’s their elaborate $tarbucks (or similar) morning coffee, the one with all the bells and whistles; extra foam, extra flavour, extra large, extra expensive. For others, *looks at Mark* it’s an extra-large, digital television decor-ruining boy toy of the technological variety complete with extra-ugly bigness, extra movie channels and extra DVR/PVR thingie things.
If I had to admit to mine, I’d have to say it would be my magazine subscriptions. Style at Home, Canadian House and Home, Canadian Home and Country, BBC Good Homes and Chatelaine.
Oh. And soup
So, what’s your guilty pleasure? And does it really make you feel guilty?.

Mine’s mags as well! Maire Claire, Netguide, Home and Garden, NZ Woman’s Weekly, Next, InStyle, etc etc.
Mind you I have cut back - at the height of my addiction (about 7yrs ago) I was buying 15 monthly magazines and 3 weeklies.

Fi, after my other half reads your comment, I am going look for 10 other magazines to subscribe to. Getting a bit of variety might something of a challenge though. As you can tell by my dress sense, I am unlikely to subscribe to a fashion magazine.

Actually my drink is a quad soy latte or a 3 shot americano - but at one of the locally owned coffee houses that offer FREE WiFi.

Guilty Pleasure
I have a confession. I derive much pleasure from owning Garden Gnomes. I know it isn’t the most politically correct thing. There are organizations out there that would like to see Gnome owners like myslef punished but I can’t help it.

-Heat magazine (like People, but a lot trashier and unintentionally funnier)
-any Green and Black’s chocolate product
-Kraft Dinner (shipped to me via Mom, of course)
-fake plastic cheese on grilled cheese sandwiches
-Burger King (but only during pregnancy)
No, don’t feel guilty about any of those. And yes, I know that all but one involve food.

- Working in my PJ’s ’till noon.
- Showering around 1 pm.
- Playing DnD/magic/Civ.
No guilt (maybe the last one if it cuts into my “real life” time).

I watch “The O.C.” *collective gasp erupts from the crowd* And yes, yes I REALLY feel guilty about it. I think even our cat judges me about the O.C…..

I have to point out that Jen also used to buy People and Us magazines on a regular basis. Nowadays though, in an attempt to save money, she will stand at the supermarket checkout reading the magazines as fast as she can while I unload the cart onto the conveyer. Sometimes she doesn’t notice that our groceries have been unloaded, checked through and paid for and I’m standing on the other side waiting for her.
My guilty pleasures? Crisp sandwiches. Fiddling with my slinky. BBC Kids (hmm, that doesn’t sound right). And no, no I don’t.

My guilty pleasure? Peanut butter and Mayo. Together. As one. On bread. Yum. *shakes head about the OC*

Coronation Street, Britcoms, and drinking milk straight from the bag (it tastes better, I swear).
And no…don’t feel a *bit* guilty.
Oooohhhhhh……crisp butties. On white ‘fake’ bread. Haven’t had one of them in ages. Add a sugar butty to that and you’ve got a full meal.

Lounging around naked in the afternoon, watching Law and Order and eating cookies.
And no, it doesn’t make me feel guilty at all.

I have so many… and I am totally unrepentant and feel no guilt at all. After all things are considered, life is for living!

- Buying Vogue at the newsstand whenever I fly
- Whoppers from Burger King
- buying more yarn than I can ever knit in a million years
