Meme and the farmer
Shawn tagged me with this a while back. It’s taken me a while to get around it because, well, I’m lazy.
The Caesar’s Bath meme: List five things that people in your circle of friends or peer group are wild about, but you can’t really understand the fuss over. To use the words of Caesar (from History of the World Part I), “Nice. Nice. Not thrilling… but nice.”
1)Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Civilisation, Risk. Lame with a capital “L”. Go watch some TV…or go play outside, I don’t care.
Oh, and don’t wake me up when you come home at 5:30 in the morning after spending all night playing one of those games.
2) Rock climbing. It involves heights and physical exertion. I say nay nay.
3) People who think healthy eating and getting out into the great outdoors is a diet and exercise program. I work really hard at maintaining my Pillsbury doughboy-like physique and complexion. The TV doesn’t watch itself you know.
4) Hazelnuts and/or dark chocolate. No, just no.
5) Reality tv. I hate it all…well, ok, except Canadian and American Idol and The Amazing Race - but that’s it, honest!
I now pass the baton to anyone who wants it.

Yep, I agree with you on 4; nuts in chocolate is Just Wrong.
I may have to steal this!

I agree with you on Rock Climbing for sure….same with Sky Diving. It’s just like…WHY???

#3 - hehehehe we are the Potato Ladies!

I can agree on #5, but I’m guilty as accused on the rest. Well, except for waking you up at 5 am. I haven’t done that.

I must confess to enjoying a good computer game from time to time, but so-called reality TV? Just no. Absolutlely not. I hate it. All of it.
May 26th, 2005 at 1:21 pm
1) It was 4:30
2) Rock climbing Rocks!
3) getting up to make tea is exercise isn’t it?
4) mmmmm Whole Nut. mmmmmm dark chocolate.
5) You watch reality tv almost exclusively, it’s just that most of it is decorating shows…
May 26th, 2005 at 5:29 pm
hiya,
1. How can anyone sit around shuffling cards til 4:30am? Yeah, I don’t get it either.
2. Rock climbing looks just plain uncomfortable, what with the harness thingy.
3. Exercise? What is this Exercise you speak of?
4. Are you insane? The darker the better. But, yeah, the nuts just get in the way of the chocolate.
and 5. You can’t help but watch reality TV, it’s everywhere. Decorating shows are NOT reality TV, they are educational, wonderful pieces of TV genius. Debbie Travis can come over to my place any time….
Now…I think I may do this ere meme thingy myself.

oh, and how could you just release the meme into the wild like that? You’re supposed to pick specific people so those people can feel extra important and lord it over those sad bloggers who did not get picked.
Maybe you were scared of falling into the trap of inviting people who ignore your invitation, making you feel small, insignificant and un-appreciated. Like I did.

Oi, stop posting as me you small and insignificant blogger
xx

I decided to take the baton… have a squiz if you get bored
May 31st, 2005 at 4:25 pm
Blondie - I squizzed, but I didn’t see it…perhaps I am going blind in my old age?

Hi, it was further down the page - whoops I talk too much.

1) Blogging - people who blog - what’s that all about, and where did they all come from? I understand some of them are even married to each other.
2) Those who watch cars go around and around the same track - Indy, Nascar, F1 - it’s all the same thing.
3) Reality TV except Amazing Race and Canadian Idol.
4) Any form of chocolate that is not dark chocolate - FYI, white chocolate is not chocolate at all
5) People who do not own TVs, AND ARE PROUD OF IT! I suspect they either can’t afford them, or don’t know how to use them.

Magic is Lame, so go watch some TV?? Isn’t this is like saying that cutting yourself is bad, go beat yourself instead?
