The Amazing Race - Family Edition
I don’t think I’m going to like this version as much as the regular one, but there were a couple of entertaining moments last night. Among them, one team’s obvious confusion over what “Pennsylvania” might be - illustrated by the statement, “Pennsylvania may be a state.”
I wonder if they know what and where Canada is.
Oh, and the teams that MUST be eliminated as soon as possible:
The Rogers and The Weavers - for obvious reasons if you know me.

I agree - four person teams are way too hectic. Those four blondes with their screaming are enough to drive me to (even more) drugs and alcohol. If they’re that bad just in the snippets shown on television, what must real life be like? The mind boggles. As for the second most stupid statemet (or question): “Where is the town of SoHo?” Nobody’s that stupid, are they? Don’t answer that…

I thought it was kind of funny that the token black familys actual name was ‘Black’.
I also thought that it was hilarious that the family FROM NEW YORK CITY got lost in NEW YOUR CITY! Does the dad of that family ever speak?
Still, it’s fun to watch and I’m going to root for the family with the little blonde girl. They seem the nicest, they didn’t ask if anyone they met ‘knew Jesus’, and managed to kick the asses of the other teams.

I’m looking forward to that Weaver woman asking a big angry non-Christian if they “know the Lord”.

Worth watching huh. I’ve seen all the others so I might as well keep up the habit.
I still reckon they should have one with international teams.

I liked the first episode. Yeah, the challenges were
pretty easy, and they didn’t travel outside NY & PA, but
the family dynamic was interesting, and it’s nice to have a
change of pace every now and then (we’ve had 7 seasons of
pairs, we can try one season of families).
Looking forward to the rest of the season.
