New Zealand - Day 20

We awoke to a gorgeous view of Queenstown and its lake from our hotel room window, although it was still difficult for us to wake up today...

After a walk around town we drove out to Kawarau bridge to A J Hackett Bungy to watch some jumpers. I was ready to give it a go, but Jen was too nervous so we just watched, and decided to go jet boating for our thrills instead. Another short drive bought us to Shotover Jet, where we enjoyed a 30 minute thrill ride on a 80kph jet boat through canyons, including 360 spins. After 30 minutes we were wet and cold, but it was still a lot of fun.

Today is my birthday, so we went to the Boardwalk Restaurant for a birthday dinner, a delicious seafood meal finished off by a chorus of happy birthday arranged very sneakily by Jen. After that we strolled around town until bedtime.
